One school - two systems. The German Swiss International School, Ibadan, Nigeria (ICIGSS) was established by the German-Swiss and African-European Network families and also as part of UNESCO Associated Schools Network of year 2030 vision of international education. We aim to build bridges between diverse cultures within our school and beyond it. We facilitate close relations with local and international partner schools and regional organisations. Our bilingual language programme allows all our students to broaden their linguistic foundations in German and English and benefit from fluency in both languages. Our academic delivery encompass the usage of the new technology and innovation, the students get introduced to robotic science and forensic science curriculum practically from Grade 6 level (JSS 1 level).
The school's main campus is strategically located in the picturesque and prestigious setting of The Peak Old Bodija Estate, Ibadan, Nigeria.
The school offers education in two streams from kindergarten to secondary school, following the German and British school systems under International Baccalaureate. We are recognised and supported by the German and Swiss governments. We have capacity to admit students from over 30 countries that are to be taught by a committed team of highly- qualified teachers from German and English-speaking countries.
As part of African leading School, our mission is to provide a quality education to citizens of the 21st century, encouraging and fostering the talents of each student - as an individual, as part of a team and as a responsible member of society. In a globalized world, the multicultural character of ICIGSS is a challenge and an opportunity.
